In the Astragius Galaxy, the nations of Gilgamesh and Ballarant have been at war for 100 years for reasons long forgotten. At the end of the Hundred Years War, a soldier in the Gilgamesh army, Chirico Cuvie, is forced to participate in a mysterious operation to assault an allied base. Armed with their humanoid combat mechs known as VOTOMS, they successfully penetrate the heavily defended base. Unwittingly, Chirico has been used to steal a secret technology from their own side and he is left behind to die. Chirico escapes but he continues to be hunted from place to place as he searches for answers that will eventually unravel a galactic-wide conspiracy.
